The History of Stamp Collecting
Stamp collecting is a hobby that started well over 100 years ago, back in the mid 1800s. Postage Stamps are collected for their historical or geographical aspects and can often be decorated vividly to depict the varying specifics to which the Stamp was designed. Stamps were obviously fundamental in their actual usage, helping to facilitate the delivery of mail around the world. This usage helped them to quickly become a staple hobby for many, so much so, that until only very recently, Stamp collecting had been one of the worlds most popular hobbies. It is only with the continued adoption of a digital and tokenised world, that Stamp collecting has seen a decline in popularity as a hobby.
Introducing: Joe’s Journey Stamps
A community milestone NFT collection. With this collection, you can Immortalise your community event participation with a soul bound non-fungible token, styled as a Stamp. This collection fuses an ‘old-world’ collectors hobby with a digitalised ‘new-world’ version. Each Stamp in the collection will be directly tied to a community event that will be linked back to the Trader Joe ecosystem and the wider developments on the platform that are going on at that time.
Joe’s Journey Stamps will essentially be on-chain tokenized memory, that captures community participation for each of the special moments that unfold in Trader Joe’s history.
Joe’s Journey Stamps Roadmap
The first Joe’s Journey Stamps collection, will be split into four segments. These segments, will be themed to the over-arching platform development that is planned to see out the remainder of 2022 (more news on these unrevealed developments soon). Each segment will have a specific number of community events, that will each reward their uniquely designed Stamp NFT. These NFTs mark the special events and act as the participation reward for those who engage with the outlined task.
The Roadmap outlined in the above graphic will be composed of the following segments, with the designated range of Stamp NFTs outlined below:

How, when and why?
The good news is, you can start collecting these NFTs now! Each Task will be unique and very accessible to all. Simple participation in many of the tasks is required, don’t worry you wont be confronted with huge challenges. The great thing about soul bound NFTs that are limited in their acquisition opportunity, is that they represent a chance for community members to show their engagement and loyalty. Collecting all 12 NFTs will be a huge task that only the mightiest of big joes can hope to complete. What lay in the future for those who acquire all 12 is still unknown, but you can bet that acquiring a complete set of these soul bound beauties, will be a mighty accolade.
All tasks are launched from the Trader Joe discord so make sure you have joined and turned notifications on!
